Variation breeds interest: Reebok breaks the boring tiles

Normally, when you get to the browse page of a site, you expect to see rows of identical tiles with identical models wearing identical product. Vomit inducing.

Reebok mixed it up on their browsing page with a few things you don’t see very often:

  • Video content
  • a long page (beats the hell out of clicking “Next Page” a dozen times)
  • Different tile sizes – to emphasize the products they want to draw attention to
  • Different photo formats to show some dynamism
  • An interesting sliding scroll, even if its just whimsical

The result is a page that is not only full of relevant content, but is visually interesting, and draws the shopper into the product.
